Petroleum department has rejected the baseless information concerning scarcity of petrol and diesel withinside the country.
In a press launch issued on Tuesday,
the Petroleum department clarified that there are enough shares of petrol and
diesel to satisfy the country's want and information circulating on this regard is
baseless and opposite to facts.
It stated as in step with inventory
role of Oil Companies Advisory Council, the petrol shares are round 550,000
Metric Tons that is enough for 21 days even as diesel shares are 438,000 Metric
Tons that is ok for 15 days.
The press launch cited that Pakistan
State Oil's deliberate import of diesel for the month of November 2022 is round
220,000 metric Tons out of which one shipment is at the manner to Karachi and
is anticipated to reach on twelfth of this month even as cargoes of different
Oil Marketing organizations are in line to satisfy the country's deliberate
demand.
